Seth Tasman - Executive Director
Coach Tasman currently serves as the head Executive Director of NorCal Aquatics. He is currently the Los Altos boys water polo swimming head coach. Coach Tasman has successfully been coaching water polo at the youth, high school, and college level for the past 9 years. This past 2018 season Coach Tasman's Los Altos Water Polo team finished the season in the D1 CCS Championship game and lost a nail bitter to Palo Alto. In 2017 he led the Eagles with a perfect 14-0 League Record and captured the SCVAL De Anza Championship, as well as qualified for the CCS Open Division. As the Varsity swim coach at Los Altos High, Coch Tasman has produced a 3 time, CIF State Champion in the 50 free and 100 free at the CIF State Swim Meet. As well as produced 5 swimming and diving All Americans, he has coached in camps all over the country including, The Olympic Training Center (Colorado), two times at the Azevedo Shooting Academy/ Corso Goal Keeping Academy, and five times at the Florida Holiday Camp. Coach Tasman previously served as the Head Coach of the University of Central Florida girls club team where he was named CWPA Southeast Division Coach of the year. While coaching swimming in Florida one of Coach Tasman's swimmers won a FHSAA State Title in the 100 breast.
Coach Tasman was a two sport athlete at Iona College (NY). He captained both the swimming and water polo team during his tenure. He finished his senior season top 10 in the NCAA in scoring and had the 4th highest goals per game average. For swimming, he set 7 school records and was an all conference swimmer.
Sending players to college is a big priority for Coach Tasman. With NORCAL Aquatics we hope to send a majority of our athletes into a Division 1 college. He has coached athletes that attend Harvard, Princeton, MIT, Cal, San Jose State, Michigan, Santa Clara, Bucknell, Redlands, George Washington, Iona, Pomona, Mercyhurst, Siena, Villanova, Whittier, Johns Hopkins, and Claremont Mckenna
Katie Tasman - Director of High School Girls Program
Coach Katie Tasman currently serves as the Head Coach of the Los Altos girls water polo and Swimming team. During the 2017 and 2018 high school season, she led the Eagles to back to back D1 CCS Championships. In 2015 she led her team to be SCVAL De Anza Champions. Coach Katie played college water polo at San Jose State University 2009-2012 under legendary Coach Lou Tully. While at SJSU, Coach Buzzetta received multiple best defensive player awards, as well as most improved. Her junior year SJSU finished 5th in nation and 4th in the Mountain Pacific league.
During high school, Coach Buzzetta was a four-time MVP on San Benito's varsity team water polo team, averaging over 100 goals her junior and senior year. As their captain, Coach Buzzetta lead San Benito to their first league championship, leading her to receive first- team all CCS honors. Coach Buzzata brings a wealth of knowledge - and contagious enthusiasm - to coaching all levels of boys and girls
Coach Danny Buzzetta currently serves as the Head Coach of the Los Altos Boys Frosh/Soph water polo team. He just completed his 6th year coaching youth and high school level water polo. Coach Danny was a three year varsity starter at Valley Christian High School, where he earned 1st Team All WCAL and Division 2, 1st Team All CCS Honors, placing in top 5 for all the school's water polo records. He continued onto Northern Arizona University playing club water polo until returning back to the Bay Area. He previously coached for two years with Silicon Valley Outlaws. He then joined the Norcal Aquatics family in the summer of 2015. In the Fall of 2015 he began coaching at Los Altos with the Junior Varsity girls. He loves helping athletes develop into the best they can be, while pushing them to be role models outside the pool deck.
Kelli Leabo is in her third year of coaching the Los Altos girls Junior Varsity water polo at and swim team. Coach Kelli graduated from San Jose State in Spring of 2016. She graduated with a degree in Child and Adolescent Development. She currently works at Bullis Charter School.
She played 5 years of water polo at San Jose State and was captain for her senior season 2015-2016. She finished her career with 68 goals.
She is originally from Stockton, California. In 2011, she was named Stockton Hall of Fame's Female Athlete of the Year. She attended Lincoln High School in Stockton and ended her career there with 400 goals and 3 MVP league titles.
Ally Villanueva played water polo 4 fours at San Jose State graduating in 2012 with a BS in Health Science and a Minor in Child and Adolescent Behavior. During her time at San Jose State, her team finished 5th in the nation (Junior Year) and never finished ranked lower than 10th in the nation playing under Lou Tully.
She is originally from Orange County and a graduate from Villa Park High School. As a Senior, she was named as an All American and the Best Offensive Player. During her time at Villa Park, the Spartans were a 4-time Century League Champion and made an appearance in CIF all 4 seasons and 2 of those being in the CIF Division II finals.
She also played for SET Water Polo under Bradley Schumacher, the only 2-time Olympian in Olympic history (for swimming and water polo) where her team finished 3rd in JOs as an 18 and under. Currently, Ally works as an Operation and Logistics Manager for a large risk and strategy firm in San Francisco.
Colby has been playing water polo since age12. He has played water polo for NorCal Aquatics, Stanford Water Polo Club, and San Jose Express. He participated in the Junior Olympics 4 times, twice with Stanford, once with San Jose Express, and once with NorCal. He has also studied abroad his sophomore year of high school in Barcelona. There he played water polo at the highest level with the Barcelona International Water Polo Academy (BIWPA) as well as a local Catalan club, Club Natacio Molins De Rei.
